Platform Members, Roadshow
Giving time to creation, rethinking collaborations between artists, reinventing the concert experience: the Multidisciplinary Residency explores a new relationship with performance. Conceived by the Académie du Festival d'Aix, it opens up an unprecedented space for dialogue between performers, curators, directors, choreographers, composers, playwrights and artists. Built around the theme of the voice - a profoundly multi-disciplinary theme that resonates more widely with the Festival's programming - this residency is an invaluable opportunity for reflection and a veritable laboratory for contemporary creation: what place is allocated to collective creation today? What do we need to reinvent in the relationship between artists and audiences? What role do cultural institutions play in inventing new forms of performance?
Piersandra di Matteo (supervising artist - Résidence Pluridisciplinaire), Claron McFadden (guest artist - Résidence Pluridisciplinaire), Bronwyn Lace (visual artist - The Center for the Less Good Idea), Neo Muyanga (composer and installation artist - The Center for the Less Good Idea) and Paul Briottet (deputy director - Académie du Festival d'Aix).
