OLYMP'ARTS: Reviving the Spirit of Artistic Excellence

The OLYMP’ARTS is a unique global initiative that celebrates the universal language of art and creativity. Inspired by the ancient Greek tradition of art olympiads held alongside the Olympic Games, the modern OLYMP’ARTS was founded in 1992 by Marc Verrière, with its official launch in 1995 under the support of UNESCO and 65 countries.

Unlike traditional sports competitions, the OLYMP’ARTS brings together artists from around the world to showcase their talents across a variety of disciplines, including music, dance, painting, architecture, photography, and more. Its mission is to promote unity, innovation, and cultural exchange through art.

The first modern edition of the OLYMP’ARTS is set to take place in 2027, following a tradition of being held three years after the Olympic Games. The event will span 15 days in a host city (to be revealed at the 30th anniversary of the UNESCO Charter to be held on 16 July) and will focus on the theme of “Environment,” with water as its symbolic element.

What sets the OLYMP’ARTS apart is its inclusive approach to judging: winners are chosen through anonymous online voting by people from all over the world, ensuring that artistic expression resonates universally. Over 175 countries have already registered participants for this groundbreaking event.

With its six-star logo symbolizing six continents and the global artistic community, the OLYMP’ARTS is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of human creativity and a platform for artists to inspire change. By reviving this ancient tradition in a modern context, the OLYMP’ARTS aims to unite humanity through art and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
