Opéra Orchestre National de Montpellier Occitanie Visibility Campaign 2024
Platform Members, Roadshow
Unique in France, the choir prepares a major concert or performance project each season, often integrated into the main season and frequently accompanied by the National Orchestra. While the rehearsal schedule is adapted, with two workshops per month, the conditions for creating the performance are on par with professional productions. The choir thus rehearses in the same halls as the Opera Orchestra artists and is guided by experienced choir directors, either from the permanent teams of the Opera Orchestra or regularly invited guests. The project is open to all: amateur singers, experienced or not, within the limits of available places. No prior musical experience is required. One can register with friends, as a family, or alone.
This year, the choir performed Carmina Burana by Carl Orff on the big stage of the Opéra Berlioz!
The national Opera Orchestra of Montpellier Occitanie has a 88 musicians orchestra, a 32 singers choir and has its own semi-professionnal young choir for 6 to 25 years old.
