Operabase conducted a study on new creations and contemporary artists. The study aims at underlining the evolution of the innovativeness of the operatic sector and key artistic and institutional contributors with a special emphasis on new creations and contemporary artists. The lines of inquiry and questions underpinning this study were posed by FEDORA. These inquiries have been interpreted by Operabase and results are based on samples taken from the database.
Operabase was founded in 1996 and has grown into the world's largest operatic database listing global performances with tickets, live streams, and video on demand. The core tool of Operabase is its industry-leading Casting Tool which is a directory of performances and is used by casting professionals and artistic directors globally. The company has expanded its product offering to include orchestras, and concert halls and lists classical and ballet productions.
