Operadagen Rotterdam presented the FEDORA Platform on the occasion of their kick-off, on March 15th, 2018. The kick-off is a yearly event in which Operadagen Rotterdam presents the complete program of that year's festival edition. The Artistic director, Guy Coolen, spoke about the theme (Courage) and the content of the festival program. There were live performances from productions such as as Così, Beast, De dood - een gebruiksaanwijzing and Les Âmes Perdues. Nico Schaafsma presented the FEDORA Platform and also presented Operadagen's circle of friends and donors.

In their new webseries entitled "Spotlights on Future: A New Massimo Generation", Fondazione Teatro Massimo Palermo decided to celebrate youth in the operatic world and highlight the importance of giving young people a voice.
