FEDORA - The European Circle of Philanthropists of Opera and Ballet is a non-profit organisation, chaired by Stéphane Argyropoulos and that is based at the Palais Garnier with the aim to support creativity and innovation in opera and dance. Through its funding programmes, the FEDORA Prizes Biennale and the Next Stage Grants, FEDORA provides both funding opportunities and capacity-building to its network of over 130 opera houses and dance companies all over Europe.
Internationally recognised as the largest opera and dance competition and European Platform for new works in opera and dance, co-funded by the European Commission, FEDORA aims to guarantee the future of these art forms in Europe. Four prizes are awarded to promising teams who collaborate on the creation of new opera and dance co-productions, and on the involvement and education of new and young audiences. In parallel, the Next Stage Grants are attributed to projects that drive innovation through sustainable, inclusive, and digital transformation on, behind, and beyond the stage.
Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Oversee and coordinate resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management in collaboration with the accounting manager.
Drive key initiatives, track performance metrics, and identify opportunities for optimization.
Oversee FEDORA’s financial, legal and administrative coordination in support of the Director
Key contact of the FEDORA team and of service providers for processing payments & preparing financial reports for the Director and Board Members.
Prepare the Board Meetings & Annual Member Summits that reunite all the members of our network once a year to vote on budget and activities.
Help prepare contracts in collaboration with FEDORA’s departments & coordinate the partnership with the legal pro-bono partner
Administrate public grant applications, monitoring and reporting.
Foster collaboration between department teams (recruitment, onboarding, time and team expenses tracking).
Master’s degree in any field, preferably business administration and project management with strong financial skills
Previous experience in operations management / administration / financial
Familiarity with finance and accounting practices
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage projects and multitasking under time pressure
Expertise in process improvement, and strategic planning
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Strong interpersonal skills to enable excellent communication and stakeholder management
Outstanding organisational, planning and time-management skills
Proactive and independent work style, with good team spirit
Rigour, attention to detail and willingness to learn
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
French (fluent written and spoken)
English (fluent written and spoken)
Additional languages are an advantage
