Caimin Gilmore

Short Bio

Caimin Gilmore is widely considered to be one of Ireland's finest instrumentalists, with his double bass-playing in high demand across a range of high profile classical, contemporary, folk and pop groups and projects. He has performed worldwide with Crash Ensemble, S T A R G A Z E, Lisa Hannigan, Damon Albarn, Hozier, Jessie Buckley, John Francis Flynn and Ye Vagabonds, to name only a few projects. He performs as a singer with his Sun Collective Project.

Caimin Gilmore and Michael Gallen have worked together in various musical guises for more than a decade, including in the band Sudden Wells. In The Curing Line he plays a range of character roles including Noel (foster father), and his double bass and bass playing are integral to the dramaturgy of the show.
