Claire Cowan

Short Bio

Claire Cowan (NZ/UK) is a composer whose work spans from film & television to ballet and theatre. Her first ballet, commissioned by the Royal New Zealand Ballet "Hansel and Gretel" won her NZ Classical Artist of the Year in 2021. Her television work includes seven prime-time TV Shows and her collaborative work sees her working with top Artists such as Benee, The Phoenix Foundation and Marlon Williams. In 2023 Cowan took top prize in the Oticon International Film Scoring Competition.

Claire will be composing the score for the production. She brings lived experience of being a gay woman to the project.
