Daire Halpin

Short Bio

Irish soprano Daire Halpin is in great demand as a soloist and her career has taken her to Sweden, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Japan and the US as well as Ireland and the UK. Daire has sung principal roles with Irish National Opera, Theater Magdeburg, Northern Ireland Opera, Opera Theatre Company, Nevill Holt Opera, Wide Open Opera, Scottish Opera, the European Opera Centre and English National Opera, among others.

Daire is a respected actor and a keen advocate of contemporary music and has worked with numerous composers including Nico Muhly, Donnacha Dennehy and Craig Armstrong to deliver premieres of their works.

She played the lead role of Celine in Gallen's "Elsewhere", bringing great psychological intensity and emotional truth to the role. She will bring her immense musical and theatrical skill to The Curing Line playing the roles of Eileen and Sadie, as well as leading the ensemble of other singers in choral sections.
