Short Bio

Elise is a Belgian artist, dancer and performer based in Brussels.She trained at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in collaboration with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and the Eastman company. She began her freelance career in 2013, with various companies in Europe, in Madrid and New York. She works with the Antwerp-based Compagnie Noi, directed by choreographer Valentina Nigro. In 2019 she joins the Lebanese international company Maqamat / Omar Rajeh. She dances in their new creation "Cent mille façons de parler". In 2022 she dances in the new creation by Nawal Ait Benalla / Cie LaBaraka entitled "Sur tes épaules". In 2022, she joins Compagnie Mâle, directed by choreographer Johana Malédon. She dances in the existing quintet "À bientôt" and takes part in the creation "40". She creates, choreographs and performs two solo pieces, "GASP" released in 2017 and "Ici commence la mer" (2020). In addition to her freelance career, Elise regularly teaches at the Humanités artistiques in Liège.
