Gable Roelofsen (Zeist, The Netherlands, 1982) is an actor, singer, director, writer and producer whose roots lie in the Dutch East Indies. He was educated at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab in New York City. He has researched innovation in opera and music theatre at the APT-Apass post-graduate school in DeSingel, Antwerp. In 2015 he graduated from the opera management course at Opera Europa.
Gable is co-founder of the music theatre company Het Geluid Maastricht that he set up with his sister Romy Roelofsen. Their signature style is an in-house approach to theatre production. Their work is characterised by collaborations, contemporary themes, and innovative settings and texts, which has put them at the centre of the music theatre scene in the Netherlands and the community in and around Maastricht. Their work, which is created locally, often finds its way to international networks.
