Jean Hostache

Short Bio

Born in Aix-en-Provence, Jean Hostache is an actor, dancer and choreographer. He is trained in theater, dance and lyrical singing. He works regularly with the theater company Désirades by Valérian Guillaume (Caprharnaüm, Éclipses, Désirades) and the collective La Grosse Plateforme. He has sung and acted in Théâtre, and Intranquillités, two shows directed by Marcus Borja, and performed in the Théâtre National de la Colline.In 2015, he founded with other artists his own dance collective La Ville en feu. Together they create a reinterpretation of The Rite of Spring for thirteen performers that they dance and sing a capella in the Théâtre de la Ville and created at The Grand Théâtre de Provence. They are creating now a second performance for singing voice and dance around The Planets by Gustav Holst. He did many workshops, with various artist such as Pascal Dusapin, Gisèle Vienne, Thom Luz, Ted Huffman, Sivan Eldar, Ambra Senatore, among others.
