Short Bio

Jemima will be assistant to our choreographer Annabelle. As she is based in the UK, she will be able to come to Northern Ballet’s home in Leeds more easily.

Jemima Brown is a Dance Artist and singer/songwriter from Belfast, Northern Ireland, where she began her training in Ballet, Hip-Hop, Irish Dancing and Musical Theatre. She trained at London Contemporary Dance School from 2012-2015 where she attained a First Class BA(Hons) in Contemporary Dance.

Since Graduating, Jemima has been touring and performing in work nationally and internationally with companies such as Tom Dale Company, Shobana Jeyasingh Dance, James Cousins Company, Marikiscrycrycry and Avant Garde Dance Company. Notably she has been 6 times nominated for a Critics’ Circle National Dance Award - ‘Best Female Dancer’, ‘Outstanding Female Modern Performance’ and ‘The Emerging Artist Award’ for her work with Tom Dale Company, James Cousins Company and Shobana Jeyasingh Dance.
