Louise Flanagan

Short Bio

Louise Flanagan is the costume designer for our project. Born in England, Louise trained as a classical ballet dancer, graduating from the Royal Ballet School in London in 2006, after which she worked as a ballet dancer at the Vanemuine Theatre, Estonia.

Upon ending her dance career, she attained a BA (Hons) first-class in Dance and Performance Costumes from Middlesex University and completed a professional dressmaking apprenticeship in Munich, Germany.

Since 2013 she has been working as a costume designer for dance for theatres including the Bavarian State Ballet, Ballett am Rhein, Stanislavsky Ballet Moscow, Tulsa Ballet, Theater Magdeburg, Vanemuine Theatre, Oper Graz and Theater St Gallen. She has also assisted the designer Emma Ryott on productions with Ballett Zürich, Bolshoi Ballet Moscow and Staatsballett Berlin.
