950 seat Italian style theatre located in the heart of the of Avignon, Opéra Grand Avignon is a facility Iconic and historical cultural of the Grand Avignon agglomeration, built in 1847. Its artistic program is rich in prestigious collaborations, reflecting the quality and the work of the artistic forces present, always in search of excellence and the most demanding performance.
Opéra Grand Avignon is :
• a program that advocates openness, through the rediscovery of major works through new productions, and by the revelation of new artists
• a programme of cultural and educational actions allowing access to the performing arts for as many people as possible
MAGICAL SEASON 2023/2024. Art bears witness to the transformations of the world and the transformations of being. Sometimes, and perhaps especially in the years we have just gone through, we would like these transformations to go through a wave of a magic wand, so that we can instantly and effortlessly leave one state and enter another. But be warned: while magic and spells can be beneficial, they can also take us to dark edges.

TURANDOT: NOURISHING SOULS will involve a diverse and large number of underprivileged people: people with special needs, disabilities, refugees, immigrants, homeless and aged people will gather together as one, to live the immersive experience of making an opera, all as one, ‘the People of Peking’.
