The purpose of The Royal Danish Theatre is to expand the outlook on the world for people all over Denmark through experiences with performing arts and music. The Royal Danish Theatre includes the Old Stage, located by Kongens Nytorv, the Opera House at Holmen and the Royal Danish Playhouse at the end of Nyhavn.

The Royal Danish Ballet is one of world's best renowned ballet-companies. It was founded in 1748 at Kongens Nytorv where it is still located today. The Royal Danish Opera is a home for the unmatched live experience of opera and symphonic music. We welcome artists and ideas from all over the world and export art made in Denmark to the world.

The Royal Danish Orchestra is the oldest orchestra in the world, dating right back to 1448 and the Trumpet Corps at the court of King Christian I. The Royal Danish Playhouse provides a home and a playground for dramatists.

The artistic ambition at Store Scene is to create performances that appeal to a wide audience with new interpretations of classics such as Shakespeare and Holberg, new family performances and new musical performances.
