Information about the crowdfunding campaign
The donation-based crowdfunding campaign on the FEDORA Platform takes place within every Biennale cycle. During this fundraising phase anyone can discover the nominated projects of the FEDORA Prizes on the FEDORA Platform and can recommend a donation to their favourite projects. A donor can make multiple donations on the FEDORA Platform during this phase.
The donation-based crowdfunding campaign for all selected projects for each FEDORA Prize category will be showcased on the FEDORA Platform website as well as on the website of Transnational Giving Europe. The Crowdfunding Campaign will be open for donations from Saturday, 26 October 2024 until Wednesday, 15 January 2025.
When a donor makes a donation to FEDORA, a French non-profit organisation, to support the crowdfunding campaign of the FEDORA Prizes Biennale 2025 on the FEDORA Platform, they can recommend a distribution of their donations to a specific nominee or project but FEDORA is in charge at its discretion to forward the funds to the Nominees. Upon completing a donation, FEDORA or the Transnational Giving Europe Partner will provide the donor with more information regarding the donation receipt, allowing the donor to claim tax relief on your donation.
Pledging with or without a reward
Nominees might offer rewards/benefits as a counterpart to a donation made on the FEDORA Platform during the Crowdfunding Campaign. This option excludes the possibility to receive benefits offered by the projects.
Alternatively, individuals and companies based in France, selected European countries and the USA have the opportunity to receive a tax receipt for their donation.
If the donor is a company or tax resident in Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain, Switzerland or the United Kingdom and does not wish to receive the associated crowdfunding benefits, the donor can receive a tax receipt instead. To do so, the donor has to click on “Pledge without a reward” and type in the amount the donor wishes to donate.
According to the Charities Aid Foundation, UK residents can only obtain a tax receipt for donations between GBP 100 and GBP 9,999.
According to the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, Swiss residents can only obtain a tax receipt for donations of minimum 100 CHF. Donations starting from €5 are still possible via FEDORA's payment page for anyone wishing to make a donation of under £100 or 100 CHF without receiving a tax receipt.
Regarding data and payment processing, please find more information in our legal notice.
