Presentation
The video game Opera Means Work draws inspiration from management games. While some games allow the player to manage football clubs (Football Manager), dwarf mines (Dwarf Fortress), hospitals (Theme Hospital) or amusement parks (Roller Coaster Tycoon), this game lets the player manage their own European opera house. The game is inspired by previous game projects of managing creative sectors such as The Movies for films, Rising Star for music, GameDevTycoon for games, etc.
The gameplay consists of making decisions regarding personnel, content and finance. The way the player solves problems like attracting talent, securing funding, and balancing the quality and quantity of content will determine the player's success in the game.
The game is intended for PC and mobile platforms, and we project a minimum of 10.000 players on PC and 20.000 players on mobile in the first year of release.
