Presentation
Benjamin Britten's Noye's Fludde is an opera for performance by a combination of professional musicians and children.
English National Opera and Theatre Royal Stratford East are collaborating to bring this opera to new and diverse audiences in East London to introduce children to opera. The Theatre Royal has a seating capacity of 460.
The creative team comprises of experienced theatre and opera professionals, all working with a company of professional performers and a large number of child and amateur performers from a wide range of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
The production will involve two professional singers, one professional actor, 8 professional orchestral musicians, 6 undergraduate singers from the Royal College of Music, 12 child soloists (recruited from ENO's partner schools), 126 child singers as the chorus, 4 children as dancers, an adult community amateur chorus of 15 singers, and 34 child orchestral musicians. In total, up to 182 children and 15 amateur adults will be involved - all performing alongside ENO professional musicians.
There will be 16 performances of this opera, with six performances specifically for schools with a £10 ticket price. For other performances, tickets will range from £5-£32.
