Presentation
The Orphée project is born because we are convinced that opera and dance can help children in their own development and life path. In june 2019, five classes will play this opera, especially thought and made for them.
Why Orphée?
Orpheus, as a character was at the very beginning of the opera, with the Monteverdi one. He epitomizes every single form of art and every artists. As such, he is a perfect pedagogical support. This is also a pure theatrical subject, such as: Hell, Cerberus, The Furies, the mythological Shadows, Apollo and Cupid.
Those five classes, chosen by the Toulouse education authority, are training one hour and a half every week, and learning how to sing, dance and act. They will perform on stage at the Théâtre du Capitole.
This experience is definitely very demanding, but rewarding and rich. Moreover, it is a special opportunity to develop imagination and sensitivity.
