Experience the upcoming season through an AR experience in the Royal Swedish Opera App!
In 2018-2019 and in 2019-2020, the Royal Swedish Opera successfully enhanced its print season brochure with augmented reality, making it more accessible to new audiences. For the 2020-2021 season brochure, the RSO would like to take the augmented reality further. In collaboration with Vobling, an agency specialized in AR, VR and 360-video technologies, we are planning to further enhance the experience of the audience via our app.
The app will add an extra layer of information to the program by adding not only music, but also AR experiences, extra material and the possibility to share the information for all the productions.
The RSO free app enhances the reader's scope, gives him/her a richer experience and adds one of the most important elements of ballet and opera - music. Imagine it: when holding one's phone over the image, using the RSO app, the music of the production plays, and dancers featured in the photo clash against one another, dust exploding around them. It becomes more than an image, it has a surprise effect that can make the spectator curious."
The 2019-2020 general program from the Royal Swedish Opera was awarded a bronze at the Clio Creativity Award 2019.
